A true Church is the Lord's Church; it is not man's Church. It comes to man from the Lord and is within the mind and heart - the will and understanding. It is according to one's conjunction with God, therefore, it is with this that we in The Lord's New Church do not claim to be that Church, but that we strive, with the Lord's help, to become His Church.

The Lord's New Chapel is an organization dedicated to teaching Christianity-a Christianity that looks inward to individual spiritual development, as well as outward to the spiritual fellowship of humanity. Our guides in this effort are both the Old and the New Testaments, and the writings of a new Revelation, the Word of the Divine Human-the glorified Lord Jesus Christ.
Those who accept the New Church seeks to realize this New Church spoken of in the book of Revelation:
We welcome inquiries from anyone who wishes to strengthen and delve more internally into his or her spiritual life. We feel that when one is in mutual love, or in charity, he or she is in true doctrine, for the doctrine has one end, the common good, the Lord's Kingdom, and the Lord Himself.
Opening one's understanding of this New Church that lies within each of us has been the work of the Lord throughout all the ages. This has now been revealed in the new Revelation as seen through the internal sense of the Word. It is hoped the following will help open your mind to see new thoughts and to a new understanding, thus to a new spiritual life lead by the Lord God.

The word in the Letter is like a casket in which are arranged precious stones, pearls and diadems. When a man regards the Word as holy, and reads it with a view to the uses of life, his thoughts may be compared to those of a person who takes such a casket in his hands and sends it upwards to Heaven. In its ascent it opens, and precious contents reach the angels, who are deeply delighted as they see and examine them. Their delight is communicated to the man, so bringing about association, and interchange of perceptions.
