The Fourth State of the Church in man - Part 5
By Rev. Paul Booth
In this doctrine, one can see that there are two God's - God the Father, sometimes referred to a Jehovah, and God the Son, both of whom are from eternity. And, when they look at God's proceeding influence, His love and wisdom, they see there another person, whom they call the Holy Spirit. They do not know that God Himself came into the world and assumed a Human, was manifested and became visible, and could, thus, redeem mankind, so that a man could be conjoined with Him and with Heaven. In their doctrine the Father willed the Son to come to the world in order that man could be saved who would otherwise die an eternal death. This was called 'Divine Justice'. As such, the man of this Christian Church believes that the Son fulfilled the Father's demand for justice by His passion on the cross, and His death, causing the Father to have mercy for the deeds of the Son. These deeds they believe are imputed to all those who believe that this is so. The assumed case is that when a man believes this, then he is instantly saved, even if he is on his deathbed.

Fallacy and falsity had entered that Church in man and like all the prior Churches it too ended in vastation, that is, in evils and falsities ruling over the man. This brings the state of that Church into its consummation, which are its end and the end of the Church on earth. This is described, mainly in the book of Revelation in the New Testament. In that book, is seen the end of the first Christian Church, which has became known as the Greek, Roman Catholic, and Reformed Churches. Today, there is evidence of that former Christian Church, which, like all those prior had ended having taken the truths away and like the other Churches before, put their natural understanding above the teachings taught by Lord.

Yet, the love of the Lord has made it possible that a man can come into Heaven. For by Him, not just His death on the cross, but by His entire life He has united His Human with the Divine, that is, with the Father. He has become the Divine Human. Faith and charity can be conjoined in man now. Thus, the way in man was opened and truth could enter into a man's spiritual and a new Heaven was prepared from which a new Church could come on earth and into man. And, as Heaven became prepared, the evils from hell that then flowed into man were subjugated. Thus, it is that today by rejecting evils a man is saved by the Lord and not by a faith without charity, but by works of shunning sins and doing well according to the truths taught.

Another falsity of that Christian Church may be seen in the fact that such a man does not from himself return or reciprocate the Lord's love; for how can he when he thinks those Divine qualities are imputed into him and are his? Those of the Old Christian Church often rejected that the Lord is in man and that man is in the Lord and if they do say that they believe He is in them, they do not know how it is that He is within man. It is 'as if' a wild beast is miraculously turned into a man. The Lord is only in man in his spiritual life, and as such gives man freedom, otherwise a man who thinks he lives from himself rejects the Lord as having the power to save and instead accepts a miracle. There are many truths in the New Testament that applies to this so-called Christian Church. In fact, it is taught in Luke: The man who went down to Jericho and fell into thieves, who stripped him and wounded him, leaving him half dead, is such a truth about that Christian Church. We can read here where the Lord tells us that this is that Church's end and is called the 'abomination of desolation' spoken of by Daniel.

Lastly, the consummation of that Church came and is spoken of in the book of Revelation. Yet, those, today, who follow the doctrines of these former Christian Churches, such Revelation remains hidden to them and they see only some future natural catastrophic event happening where all Christians are miraculously saved by their faith. Yet, the Lord by His Coming made it possible that man could be lead to Heaven. For by His death on the cross His glorification was completed and so He was united with His Father and became the Divine Human - who is God -Man and Man-God. Thus, in man, faith and charity can be conjoined. The way in man was now opened and truths could enter into a man's spiritual nature and, thus, a man could be prepared for Heaven. In this you can see the evils in man being subjugated.

Some may wonder that that being so, then why is it necessary for a New Christian Church to be again established on earth? The answer is because fallacies and falsities became doctrine in that old Christian Church and a man learns these instead of genuine truths and without true doctrine a man does not understand the Word. Therefore, there needed to be a correspondence between Heaven and the earth or between the Lord and man again. Man lives in the natural state - the sensual and corporeal state - and, unless there is made known to him what is spiritually meant in the literal sense of the Word, he will not learn nor know genuine truths that he may follow and be saved by. This can be seen in the fact that man today rejects the truth that the Lord is in man in his soul. And, that He can be in his understanding and will in those truths and goods giving him a new will and new understanding, even as when it is seen in the Word where the Father is in the Lord Jesus Christ and the opposite. Unless a man believes this, there is no reciprocation, no conjunction, and love is only of one's self and or of worldly things. Without this, there is no freedom and man believes he lives from himself, from what is his own or proprium. In that case, the Lord has no power to save him. That is why the Israelites and Jews were looking for miracles and why miracles play such an important part of the so-called Christian Churches today. Again, in this one can see this in the parable in Luke of the man who went to Jericho from Jerusalem, who fell into thieves' hands, and was stripped of everything, and even wounding him and leaving him as half-dead. By this, it is meant that Church's end and we learn that this is called the 'abomination of desolation' spoken of by Daniel. No miracle can conjoin man with God that is why that 'Christian' Church ended; they believed in miracles and turned away and rejected the Lord God's Life. And, if they rejected the Holy Spirit - the Helper or Comforter, the Spirit of Truth - what salvation is there for them?

End.
